FirePro Tug-Boat Fire Suppression System
Fixfire® recently completed the installation of a FirePro Fire Suppression System to protect the engine compartment in a tug-boat. The existing manually operated CO² Fire Suppression System was taking vital space on the deck. Following the initial survey visit it was clear that a better solution was needed.
The replacement system comprises a mini control panel in the wheel house and two FirePro electrically actuated aerosol units which are installed in the engine compartment. Marine certified Automatic Fire Detection provides early warning of an incident which is annunciated via the control panel allowing the crew to instigate release of the FirePro suppressant.
FirePro is an excellent alternative to gaseous Fire Suppressants in many applications.
