Opened in 2010 as part of Birmingham City Council’s modernisation programme, Oakview Care Home provides first class accommodation for 72 people.
Fixfire® completed the turnkey Life Safety System installations for this purpose-built scheme including:
Fire Alarm System. Open-protocol system including ADV range multi-loop control and indicating equipment with repeater panel at each upper floor level. Category L1 design with audibility levels based on ‘assisted evacuation’.
Disabled Refuge Alarm System installed including outstations at each refuge point on upper floor levels.
Fire Door Hold-back devices including electromagnetic Free-swing Door Closers to all bedroom and day room doors and wall mounting hold back devices to communal area corridor doors.
Nurse Call System. CareAlert 600 nurse call system including CareComm™ intercom/access control to main entrance and combined CareDoor™ monitored access control systems to internal doors eg to stairs and CareXit™ with CareLock™ locking devices to perimeter exit doors.
Induction Loop systems to day rooms.
Fire Fighting Equipment including Ultimex™ appliances and associated Fire Signage.
